Docinhos—translated literally as “little sweets”—are a staple dessert across Brazil. The Sabor do Brasil recipe website design seeks to educate visitors on the history of these confection and their significance while teaching them how to make them at home. The recipes portion of the website features simple navigation and a streamlined hierarchical grid to help users obtain the necessary information with ease and clarity.  The website’s bright color palette and hand-drawn illustrations take influence from the Tropicália counter-culture movement of the 1960s to create a website that feels uniquely foreign without alienating the visitor in the process. The colors also work to effectively section off certain parts of each webpage, allowing for further ease of navigation throughout.
