Process Book
Print, Illustration
2017
This process book collected several statements written throughout a Graphic Design Software course documenting the steps taken to create a logo based on a chosen object and letterform. Images, textures, forms and screenshots were collected during the semester and then used to inform the aesthetic of the book. This collection was distorted through Photoshop to create the overarching aesthetic of the book, taking much influence from the Postmodern movement of the 1990s. A typographic grid system allowed the process book to maintain its clarity and readability as the textures and forms were combined to create dynamic spreads highlighting the steps taken throughout the logo’s creation. The decision to take this route created a method of storytelling that visually engaged the reader and depicted the process of trial and error in a way that did not need words.
